Nashville's Loudest Stage on Broadway

Eric Church's legendary honky-tonk brings live music, rooftop views, and real Nashville soul to Lower Broadway.

About Us

Chief's on Broadway sits at 200 Broadway, right at the center of Nashville's most electric strip, and it earns every bit of the buzz. This is Eric Church's house, and you feel that the second you walk through the door. The wall decor tells a story, the crowd is genuinely happy to be there, and the bands play like they mean it every single night.

The vibe here is rare: it manages to feel welcoming and laid-back without losing any of the energy. First-timers who came specifically for the Eric Church connection consistently leave saying it exceeded what they expected. That kind of word-of-mouth, backed by over 1,200 reviews averaging 4.5 stars, doesn't happen by accident. It happens because the staff treats every guest like a regular.

From the main floor to the rooftop deck, the experience layers up. The views over Broadway are genuinely stunning at night, and the combination of great service, solid food, and wall-to-wall live music makes Chief's one of those rare spots where you lose track of time completely.

What We Offer

Chief's runs live music seven days a week across multiple floors, so there's always a band playing when you walk in. Whether you're catching a ticketed concert or just grabbing a seat at the bar, the sound quality and the talent on stage are the real deal.

The kitchen holds its own, too. The brisket sandwich with fries has made a strong impression on plenty of late-night visitors, and the full bar keeps the drinks coming without making you wait forever. The rooftop bar is its own destination, offering skyline views that pair perfectly with a cold drink after a long day on Lower Broadway.

For groups and special occasions, Chief's also operates as an event venue. Private bookings, concert packages, and ticketed shows give you options whether you want a full planned experience or a spontaneous stop. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a first Nashville visit and a Tuesday night out with locals.

"Our first visit to Nashville so we had to stop at Chief’s. My wife and I are both fans of Eric Church so we wanted to get the full experience. We bought tickets to a concert, had dinner and enjoyed live music on different levels at the establishment. With so many places you can experience while there I definitely recommend this one. Food: the bbq was decent. Being from Texas we have a different style of bbq so I can understand why it wasn’t my favorite but for the price I felt it could have been better. Atmosphere: Great! Lots of energy and no one got out of control. Service: It was pretty good. All the floors have something different going on so there’s the potential for one to be better than the other. The concert area though is amazing! What an awesome experience to listen to live music in that venue. Definitely recommend purchasing tickets to a concert."

"If you’re looking for a place in Nashville that blends laid-back fun with unforgettable hospitality, Chiefs Bar absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming and lively, the kind of spot where conversations flow easily and the good vibes feel contagious. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. Every interaction felt genuine, upbeat, and attentive without ever being overbearing. The bartenders were knowledgeable and quick with recommendations, clearly proud of what they serve and happy to make sure everyone has a great experience. Even during busy moments, they kept things running smoothly with smiles, laughter, and an impressive ability to make each guest feel noticed and appreciated. The energy inside the bar perfectly captures the Nashville spirit: fun, friendly, and full of personality. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual drink, meeting up with friends, or just soaking in the scene, Chiefs Bar manages to strike that perfect balance between excitement and comfort. It feels like a place where locals return often and visitors instantly feel at home. In a city packed with bars, Chiefs Bar stands out because of its people. Great service can elevate any night, and the awesome staff here does exactly that. It’s the kind of spot you leave already planning your next visit."

"I did a roadtrip from Ohio specifically to see my favorite group, Flat River Band, play at The Chief on Broadway in Nashville. The Chief and the staff are attentive, friendly. Great at helping newbies! The 6 floors each have a performance stage and areas to grab a drink or snack. There is a BBQ restaurant on Floor 5. I loved the unique stained glass windows, and great acoustics and seating on Floor 3 for Flat River Band. My first time experience at The Chief on Broadway was outstanding and fun!"

"We had a private event at Chief’s. The food was tremendous! The top three in my opinion were the brisket, Mac and cheese, and the corn. We were on floors 3 & 4 (the Neon Steeple). Service was excellent and with a smile. Staff was interactive. The rooftop provided an amazing view of Broadway. There were only two negatives & they weren’t worth changing the rating. One was bathroom space. At the Neon Steeple, bathroom space was limited (there were bathrooms on other floors). The other was the banana pudding. I was hoping for more of a bbq style banana pudding (it was still good). Thanks Chief’s for a great experience!"
